For an ideal destination for a bike ride, head on out to National Trust location Barrrington Court in South Somerset. Here you will be met with a cycle path that is 20 miles around as it loops through the charming meadows and gardens of the nearby area.

Your eyes will be stunned with the blooming orchids, and the frittering birds are certain to delight people of all ages. What’s more is around this favourite National Trust site the butterflies are also painting those blue skies.

For anyone who is a nature lover, Barrington Court is surely going to put a smile on your face. When you venture out to National Trust’s Barrington Court you will not only be offered the chance to get in a good workout with a bike along the paths, for the Elizabethan Montacute House is filled with historical lore and beauty inherent of the era.

The lovely garden has been arranged in the manner suited to Gertrude Jekyll and each flower is sure to add its own special form of beauty to the overall effect.

There are plenty of rooms inside to see and explore and the kids will adore the new addition of the Court House’s history quiz. Parents will appreciate that this can be an opportunity to learn as well as have fun!

Further, should you set out to this stunning National Trust locale between 2 April and 29 September you can be in for an extra special treat in that the restaurant will be open for special lunches and even teas on Saturdays and Sundays.
